Edward A. Paez is an attorney practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, first party property defense, bankruptcy, real estate law, business immigration law, and family law matters.  Mr. Paez was born and raised in South Florida and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Miami, graduating cum laude.  In 2003, Mr. Paez received his Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University Law School.  He is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish with native fluency.

Mr. Paez  currently represents numerous insurance carriers in the defense of first party property claims, including windstorm, arson, flood, and vandalism losses and provides assistance to the insurers’ special investigations units. Whether it’s SIU, EUO, or DFS, Edward Paez has the experience to steer a First Party Property claim through the gauntlet of options and into the optimal position. Edward Paez has significant experience in the analysis of insurance coverage disputes typically involving the interpretation of all risk insurance policies.  Today, Edward Paez provides the full spectrum of legal services for his portfolio of private homeowners’ insurance carriers throughout the State of Florida, including: EUO services; coverage opinions; pre-suit investigation; litigation defense; declaratory action suits, and defense of fraudulent claims.

For his commercial clients, Mr. Paez examines title, issues title opinions and procures curative documents for title defects. He has negotiated and drafted residential and commercial purchase and sale agreements, leases and loan documents. Mr. Paez has also assisted developers in planning and developing contracts for construction projects and complying with construction lien laws. An experienced litigator, Mr. Paez has represented individuals and businesses through the practice of business and employment immigration law. He assists clients with E-1 Treaty Trade Visas, E-2 Treaty Investor Visas, H-1B Specialty Occupation Visas, EB-5 Visas and Labor Certification.

Additionally, Mr. Paez represents clients in Bankruptcy Proceedings before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and is available for consultation to both debtors and creditors.
